SKDT in Hiroshima, Japan, Summer 2010

With the help of our friends, supporters, and families, the troupe went to Hiroshima, Japan, to join the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the atomic bombing and to celebrate the return of the restored hand drawn pictures that had been a thank you gift of from children in Hiroshima to All Souls, Unitarian in Washington, DC, just after World War II in 1947.  The troupe danced at several venues and acted as "peace ambassadors" while performing at schools and engaging in other activities with children from Hiroshima.
